Lots has changed in the world as of Late…we have lost loved oNes, we have had births of MaNY beautifuL, happy, healthy babies within our extended family, wiLLie cut off his poNytaiL, our beloved cross Canadian ragweeed announced a break from the road, we were forced to cancel several tour dates giving the band and crew time to be at home with family. If anything, this makes it very apparent, please tell the oNes you Love that you Love them. Never know what will happen, or when. There will only be 3 full baNd shows at this point for juNe.
Chops and I used 6 days of our time off to fly to the city of angels and party it up on the sunset strip. We rented a 1961 cadillac convertible for our transportation, and stayed at the infamous “riot hyatt”. jim Morrison actually lived there in 66 (he got kicked out for hanging off a balcony by his fingertips), led zep, the rolling stones, and many many other music greats have stayed at, and trashed, this hotel, john Bonham and keith richaRds were both cited with throwing televisions off their balconies…we did some shopping on meLrose and got some rad rock n roll stuff, spent quite a bit of time at the famous comedy store and the infamous rainbow room…bumped into many kool folks out there…I don’t think the car hurt..we might have even had a couple of drinks and laughs out there as well…
We will be doing our annual “sake of the song” festival this Friday and SatuRday down in new bRauNfeLs. If you like to have fuN, then you should attend this event. RaNdaLL once after playing the song for the first time, described it in passing as the possible, “this time around” part two. Record will hit store shelves august 24. JuLy brings many amazing things for the RRB. We will be headlining our own stockyard stampede festival in fort worth, tx on Saturday the 3rd. to open the show RRB booked mc hammer, that’s right, the MC HaMMeR (please HaMMeR, don’t hurt us), evercleaR, umm hell yea, RyaN biNghaM and the dead hoRses, RadNey FoSteR, and the list goes on. the next day we head down south to Austin for the honor of pLaying willies annual 4th of JuLy picnic, we then get the privilege of staying and watching some of our heroes and favorite musicians do their thing, and end the evening with watching some fireworks go boom.
August is guaranteed to be nuts…with a new record, comes many things…in store appearances, photo shoots, meet and greets, radio interviews and performances, pLanes, tRaiNs, and automobiles, and LoTS of full band appearances…
