RANDY ROGERS BAND CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF TEXAS STAPLE CHEATHAM STREET WAREHOUSE ALONGSIDE LONESTAR FAVORITES

NASHVILLE, TENN. (October 23, 2024) — Sunday (10/20), Lonestar icons Randy Rogers Band took the stage for the 50th anniversary celebration of Cheatham Street Warehouse, a San Marcos staple. Rogers was joined by Texas household names like Pat GreenRay Wylie Hubbard and more for a sold-out night of festivities. Playing crowd favorites like ‘Kiss Me In The Dark’ and ‘In My Arms Instead,’ Randy Rogers Band wowed the audience making for a momentous night and celebrating an even better cause.

The legendary line-up showcased the impact the venue continues to have in skyrocketing the careers of Country artists including George Strait. In June of 1974, Kent Finlay took a hole-in-the-wall and made it into a musician’s dream with creativity and inspiration oozing from its tin structure.  In December of 2016, Rogers carried on the legacy by purchasing the property from the Finlay family, whom he claims he owes his career to.

Speaking with San Antonio Express-News, Rogers said, “This little bitty building by the railroad tracks played such a vital part in not only the artists’ lives but the lives their music touched. A lot of people have been touched and moved because of the music that came from that place, and that’s what music’s supposed to do.”

Not only did this event reunite Texas’ finest and their fans, it gave back to the great State. All proceeds from the event are going to the Kent Finlay Legacy Endowment and the Tommy Foote Memorial Scholarship Fund, in honor of Strait’s longtime tour manager that passed away this past year.

The Randy Rogers Band is currently taking their 20-year anniversary celebration for their critically acclaimed album, Rollercoaster, on the road to cities all over the country. In addition to their headline shows, Randy Rogers Band can be seen supporting fellow Texan Parker McCollum. For upcoming tour dates and more info, visit here
